Middle school guys i need your help.?!?

Ok so i started a new school a month before school was out. Since then i have made alot of guy friends. anyways, one guy, Juan, is probably the only one i can talk to about music and skateboarding. we both skate and listen to screamo. most people call me emo... and sometime they call him emo. Im the Only chick whos like this at school. We became really close and he calls me "bro" and offers to let me listen to his Ipod even though i have my own. He offers to teach me tricks on the board and is always making "hang days" at dairy queen. hes kinda shy and he seems really awkward asking me. I figured he liked me or my friend Taylor. i wish he liked Taylor cuz she likes him. but he doesnt, he thinks she just "pretty kool but not datable" i asked who he liked and he seemed shocked but then told me his ex girlfriend... who is like, a bit of a *****. and the opposite of me. i know people arent always honest about that kinda stuff though. so does it sound like he likes me.? and how do you act around girls you like.?
